Reiki

Reiki (ray-key) is Japanese for ‘universal life energy’ and for me it is often 'the cherry on the cake'!  I personally use this on myself twice a day and the result is that I feel more grounded, content, energised and I suppose more like 'me'.  Like the other treatments I offer it is a stand alone treatment but can be used with other techniques, especially hypnotherapy, to give a greater holistic benefit.

It was discovered in Japan by Dr Mikao Usui in the early 1900s.  It is a process of healing which occurs as the practitioner’s hands are laid on the body (if you prefer the hands can be placed just above the body) in certain positions.  Whilst we are healthy we have a strong flow of energy running through our body.  When we feel stressed or ill the energy flow is depleted.  Reiki restores the energy.

Afterwards, you will normally feel calmer, more balanced and more energised.  It is suitable for everybody.  It does not have any links to religion.
